When you order with us, you're getting a meal that doesn't just feel homemade -- every part of it is. From our hand-trimmed meats marinated in our proprietary mojos, spice blends, and rubs, to our refreshing pressed juices, and handcrafted beverages, all the way to our 15+ homemade sauces, salsas, and dressings --  we prepare everything in-house with love, flavor, and authenticity.​

Here are 20 frequently asked questions (FAQs) about catering and catered events:​

 

1) What types of events do you cater?

Our catered food is perfect for a wide variety of events, including weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and more.​​

 

2) What is included in your catering packages?

Depending on your needs, our customizable catering packages include your selection of main entrées, sides, desserts, homemade sauces, serving utensils, nutritional labels for each menu item, napkins, and compostable plates. We also provide delivery and set-up for an according fee.

Should you require services, we are happy to recommend our preferred professional event staffing agencies.

 

3) Do you offer customizable menus?

Our cuisine is and will always be Modern Cuban; you are more than welcome to pick and choose from your favorites from our offered menu items. If permissible (with regards to our time & labor), we have been able to offer special menu items inspired by traditional Cuban cuisine when dietary restrictions have been a concern for the event’s attendees.

 

4) How far in advance do I need to book your catering services?

For orders under $400, we request 24 hour notice. Orders over $1000, we require 48 hour’s notice. Orders over $3000, we require, at least, one week lead time.  

 

5) Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?

Absolutely! We can accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and food allergies, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options.

 

6) What is the minimum and maximum number of guests you can cater for?

We cater events ranging from small gatherings of 10 people to large celebrations of up to 500 guests.*

 

7) Do you provide serving staff for the event?

We offer professional delivery and setup as part of our catering packages, for an additional fee. If you require staffing for your event, we have very limited in-house availability and recommend requesting this well in advance.When our internal team is unavailable, we occasionally contract experienced staff through trusted partners. Regardless of who is serving, we always ensure there is someone on-site who is familiar with our cuisine and able to provide accurate, professional descriptions of each dish.

8) Do you provide tableware and linens?

We can provide plastic serving utensils, compostable utensil kits, compostable paper plates, and black spandex table covers upon request. Please let us know your needs during the planning process.

 

9) What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the event to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will incur a fee.

 

10) Do you offer tasting sessions before the event?

Yes, we offer tasting sessions so you can sample our menu items and make informed choices for your event.

 

11) How is the food presented at the event?

Our food can be presented buffet-style, plated, or as passed hors d'oeuvres, depending on your preference and the nature of the event.

 

12) Do you provide beverages and bar services?

We offer a variety of homemade beverage options and Cuban sodas. We are happy to provide instructions for cocktails or mocktails using our homemade beverages for your hired bar staff.

 

13) What is your pricing structure?

Our pricing is based on the menu selection, the number of guests, and any additional services requested. Contact us for a customized quote.

 

14) How do you handle delivery and setup?

We handle all aspects of delivery and are happy to help with setup, for a nominal fee, ensuring that everything is ready and in place before your guests arrive.

 

15) Can you provide themed or ethnic cuisine?

Yes, we specialize in Modern Cuban cuisine. 

 

16) What measures do you take to ensure food safety?

All of our BOH and FOH employees are Food-Safe Certified. We train all our employees to follow strict food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and transportation of food to ensure it arrives fresh and safe to eat.

 

17) Do you offer dessert options?

Yes, we offer a variety of dessert options, including traditional Cuban desserts and more modern takes on traditional staples to accommodate for lifestyle & dietary needs.

 

18) Can you provide rental equipment such as tents, tables, and chairs?

We are happy to coordinate with whomever your trusted rental equipment provider is to ensure you have everything you need for your event to run smoothly. We, however, do not have equipment to rent.

 

19) What happens to the leftover food?

Leftover food can be packed up for you to take home, donated to a local charity, or disposed of, based on your preference.

 

20) How do I book your catering services?
